The 2019 Boardman CXR 9 Series range builds on our 2017 National Trophy winning bikes, using elite athlete feedback to deliver a truly focussed Cyclocross racing machine. We’ve increased tyre clearances to combat clogging mud, even on the stickiest courses, and introduced a brand new fork to improve handling in tight corners.
We spent countless hours of R&D time tailoring the CXR range to suit the demands of riding fast over mixed terrain. The 9 Series CXR models use Boardman’s high modulous C10 carbon to ensure the best balance of weight, stiffness and compliance.
Single chainring 1X drivetrains with clutched rear derailleurs throughout the range also reduce complexity and ensure minimal dropped chains. Combining all of this with tubeless ready wheels and tyres mean that the CXR 9 Series bikes are ready to race straight out of the box.
