Overview
The ADV 9.0 Road takes our award winning gravel frameset and equips it for long fast road rides in exceptional comfort. Fast rolling but durable 32mm Vittoria Corsa N.EXT tyres and a Shimano 105 12 speed groupset combine with stable geometry and off-road compliance designed in to make a compelling case as the best long distance road bike on the market. Add mudguards to the hidden mounts and the ADV 9.0 Road makes a fantastic all condition companion, but the road focussed spec doesn't take away from the ADV Carbon's off road capabilities. Switch in some tyres with a bit more tread and you've got a gravel crushing speed machine on your hands. If you only have room for 1 bike in your collection, the ADV 9.0 Road is the one you need.
FRAMESET
At the heart of the bike is our award winning C10 Carbon frame - light and efficient at 990g, but with geometry and features which make long road rides a pleasure. A contoured seat tube and bow-curved seat stays deliver rear end compliance, absorbing impacts and reducing fatiguing vibration. A 71.5 degree head angle and 425mm rear centre measurement make handling calmer than a flighty road bike, but we've carefully chosen stem lengths and bar widths to put you in a efficient position for road riding. With clearance for 42mm 700c tyres, hidden mudguard mounts and multiple mounting points for bottles and accessories inside the front triangle as well as under the down tube and top tube, there's scope to customise the ADV 9.0 Road for however you want to ride it and for whatever you want to take with you.
SPECIFICATION
Shimano's 12 speed R7100 series 105 groupset needs no introduction - with super smooth shifting, a wide range cassette and high-performing hydraulic disc brakes, it is more capable than it has any right to be at this price point.
Vittoria launched an entirely new production process for their high-performance road tyres with the Corsa N.EXT. Using a new, super supple nylon casing and their graphene infused rubber compounds has yielded a tyre fast enough to race on, but with durability and grip for all year round use too. Wheels are a custom-built Boardman ADV set up, with through-axle hubs laced with 28 Sapim Race spokes to 21mm internal width alloy rims, properly supporting the wider 32mm tyres in a combination you can really rely on. Add some gravel focussed tyres and you can unleash the ADV's off-road exploration potential
A Prologo Akero AGX saddle rounds out the package giving a comfortable ride whether you are sitting up enjoying the view or head down making your ride buddies legs hurt.
