Overview
The Multi-Terrain Crossover MTX range of front suspension hybrids is incredibly versatile. Lightweight aluminium frames with stable and comfortable riding positions, broad gear ranges, powerful hydraulic disc brakes and short travel suspension forks mean these bikes can handle almost anything. Rough roads, cycle paths and off-road trails are all in a day’s work for an MTX.
The MTX 8.6 W is the female-specific starting point for our Multi-Terrain Crossover range of hybrids, with a fantastic specification making it a true go-anywhere bike. The handling and position on the bike are tailored for comfort and control, with the upright riding posture ensuring a great view of the road or trail ahead. A 63mm travel Suntour NEX suspension fork smooths the ride, which combined with Schwalbe’s grippy and Kevlar puncture protected 35mm Tyrago tyres, means loose or rough surfaces are easily handled.
Shimano’s 2X9 speed Altus gears give a great range for steep climbing or fast descending, and Tektro hydraulic disc brakes offer powerful and easily controlled stopping. Handlebar widths, stem and crank lengths are tailored to fit female riders better than unisex bikes, and a female-specific version of our MTX saddle completes the comfort-focused package. Mounts for mudguards and a pannier rack add extra practicality, meaning you can commute or shop in the week, then explore for fun at the weekend!
